No western country is more rich in history, architecture and early influence than Italy. The Roman Empire shaped the foundation of many cities in Western Europe, and their architectural ruins stand proudly throughout the continent and further east. The Renaissance of science and art grew out of Italy with with champions like Galileo Galilei, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo, as early alchemists of what would become our modern society. A stroll through preserved Italian old towns transports us to a time and place many of us can only dream of. Enjoy fabulous destinations throughout Italy and Sardinia as we relish historical sights and architecture wrapped in a charming Italian culture.

Showing you the best of this journey, we see Piazza Navona’s three fabulous fountains, briefly stop in front of the fabulous church of Santa Maria della Pace, enjoy the morning market at Campo de Fiori, and window shop to Piazza Benedetto Cairoli. Crossing the Tiber River over the Ponte Sisto bridge, we make a loop through the colorful neighborhood of Trastevere, with a brief stop in the historic church of Santa Maria in Trastevere.

See historic old town pathways & architecture and climb the Saint Remy Bastione to appreciate its panoramic views and take in the charming Piazza Carlo Alberto square. Sardinia is the second largest island in the Mediterranean.
