Icefields Parkway in Banff National Park
In the Canadian Rocky Mountains, the Icefields Parkway is known as one of the most scenic highways in the world, passing through both Banff and Jasper National Parks.
The southern half of the highway in Banff National Park effectively starts at iconic Lake Louise and Moraine Lake on the parkway’s doorstep, and runs north to the Columbia Icefields. It travels alongside jagged mountains, numerous waterfalls, more glaciers than you can count, and vast sweeping valleys featuring amazing panoramic viewpoints. Along the way are many sights including: Herbert Lake, Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Waterfowl Lakes, Mistaya Canyon, Howse Pass Viewpoint, Weeping Wall Viewpoint, The Big Bend viewpoint, and Parker Ridge Trailhead which leads to a fabulous view of Saskatchewan Glacier.

My follow-up video continues with Parkway sights through Jasper National Park. I you are planning your own trip up the Icefields Parkway, you can use both videos to help plan the sights you want to see.
