Alaska Cruise
Enjoy the best of our Alaska Cruise as we sail through the Inside Passage and up the Gulf of Alaska to the port of Whittier. The natural beauty of Alaska is stunning, with charming old town ports, gold rush history, fabulous snow-capped mountains, fjords with numerous glaciers, beautiful valleys, waterfalls, totem poles, and wildlife for the observant eye. Cruising both directions, we experience double the excursions at most locations, travelling by boat, float plane, helicopter, and train to enjoy the beauty of Alaska.
Starting in Vancouver, we travel up the inside passage to the Alaska Panhandle with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, and Skagway. Adventure excursions include a float plane ride over the Juneau Icefield, helicopter ride and walk on Meade Glacier, and ride on the historic White Pass Railroad.
From here I call it sailing through “the land of glaciers”, as we continue to Glacier Bay, and along the Gulf of Alaska to Hubbard Glacier, up to College Fjord, and the port of Whittier. Views of massive tidewater glaciers are fabulous, and watching their ice break and fall into the sea (called calving) is exciting.
